New Global Sykes-Picot
The year 2026 has opened with a geopolitical shock. The capture of Nicolás Maduro by U.S. forces under Operation Absolute Resolve is perhaps the most explicit signal that the "Monroe Doctrine" has returned, not as a relic of the 19th century, but as a hard-line policy for a multipolar age. I call this new "global order" the New Global Sykes-Picot.
