Healthcare records on NOSTR

Enables patients to securely store and access their medical data using the Nostr protocol while ensuring only authorized doctors can write medical records. All data is end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) before being stored on Nostr relays, preventing unauthorized access. Patients can grant or revoke doctors’ write permissions, and all medical updates are encrypted with the patient’s public key, ensuring only they can read them. An audit log keeps track of all doctors (identified by their npubs) who have accessed or modified the patient’s data. This solution provides privacy, security, and transparency while leveraging decentralized, zero-trust storage on Nostr.

The History and Funding of PubMed: A Centralized Research System in Need of Decentralization

PubMed has democratized access to scientific literature, but it's centralized nature raises concerns about integrity and permanence. This article explores the challenges it's facing and argues that a decentralized approach, built on emerging Nostr protocol, could offer a more resilient, transparent, and trustless way to do scientific research. By decentralizing the scientific record, we can ensure the integrity of groundbreaking research, promote and sponsor open collaboration.
