Artificial Intelligence Minister Evan Solomon says he has talked to his international counterparts about setting up an organization to tackle AI safety. Solomon says he spoke with counterparts at the G7 today about establishing an international “tech stability board.” He says the board would evaluate AI models for testing before they are released. Solomon says the safety of AI is a key government priority and he also spoke with other G20 countries about the issue on Friday. Warnings about the risks AI poses to humans have prompted global alarm in recent weeks.
