When the Bank of Thailand froze 3 million accounts and imposed strict transfer limits to fight scams, millions of innocent citizens suddenly lost access to their own money. This incident highlights a broader global trend: as governments deploy digital controls to manage risk, individuals face shrinking financial autonomy. The Sovereign Individual foresaw this clash between state power and personal freedom, and today Bitcoin emerges as a practical tool for sovereignty, offering censorship-resistant, self-custodied money that cannot be arbitrarily frozen or limited.
A reflection on the unlikely friendship between Charlie Kirk and Ross Ulbricht, exploring the deeper human dimension behind political and digital freedom movements—and how this bond helped secure Ross’s pardon in January 2025.

Bitcoin Core v30, scheduled for release in October 2025, will remove the long-standing limit on OP_RETURN data, allowing nearly 4 MB of arbitrary information per transaction. Supporters claim this change aligns Bitcoin with its censorship-resistant ethos and cleans up harmful workarounds like Ordinals, but critics warn it invites spam, bloats the blockchain, and opens the door for illicit material, including CSAM, to be stored immutably. Such a development could damage Bitcoin’s reputation, expose node operators to legal risk, and provide governments or institutions with justification to clamp down on the network. In response, a growing number of Bitcoiners are running Bitcoin Knots, a conservative alternative that enforces stricter data limits and filtering options. Personally, I have been running Knots for over four months to ensure my nodes don’t relay illicit content, and I have stopped supporting companies like River or Blockstream that endorse Core v30. Looking forward, institutions such as BlackRock may prefer a “clean” Bitcoin and could even legitimise a fork to protect their investments. To future-proof the network, Bitcoiners must act now — rejecting unlimited data storage and defending Bitcoin’s true purpose as sound, sovereign money.
We live in a fog woven by fiat money, a haze of debt, junk food, surveillance, distraction, and fragile energy. Most accept this as normal, swallowing the blue pill every day. Bitcoin is the red pill: incorruptible truth that cuts through illusion, restores clarity, and lets us rebuild sovereignty across money, health, data, attention, and energy.
This text reflects on the absence of wild plants and fruits like Elderberry, Blackberry, and Sea Buckthorn from conventional markets, exploring the disconnection between humans and nature. It discusses how modern economic dynamics prioritise industrialised products over sustainable local goods, suggesting that tools like Bitcoin could revitalise decentralised, circular economies. The author emphasises the need to rediscover and value the natural resources and ancestral knowledge that have been overshadowed by quick-fix solutions in today's society.

A reflection on permanence, pilgrimage, and the Cathedral on Mars — 500 years into humanity’s expansion.
Bitcoin is more than money, it is medicine for both mind and body. By breaking free from fiat’s distorted incentives, it restores clarity where there was fog, patience where there was restlessness, and sovereignty where there was dependency. Just as sound money rewards long-term thinking, it encourages choices that heal: real food over processed substitutes, strength over sedation, and attention reclaimed from distraction. Bitcoin is not only a protocol of trust but a prescription for living well, the first brick in rebuilding a sovereign life.
Fiat money has not only debased our savings, it has debased our lives. What looks like convenience in food, health, and attention is in fact corruption, calories without nutrients, pills without healing, endless distraction without focus. In Brick by Brick: Building a Sovereign Life on Bitcoin I explore how this erosion touches every part of our existence, and how Bitcoin provides a foundation to rebuild. Escaping fiat convenience doesn’t happen in one leap, but one sovereign action at a time, a meal, a choice, a sat. Brick by brick, we reclaim resilience and freedom.
