Do You Want a Seat at the Table? Join Avi Burra’s Journey to Paraguay!
Dear readers,
“I have never fully felt at home in any physical place, but I am completely at home in Bitcoin.”
That is @AviBurra , wearing his favorite brown cowboy hat and a soft smile, speaking about the heart behind Finding Home, a show where he sits down with chefs, entrepreneurs, and innovators over dishes that tell the story of their culture.
From a Somali restaurant in Harlem to bustling cafés in Prague, and soon to the vibrant streets of Paraguay, each episode captures the flavors, sights, and voices of people who are building a life they believe in. It is food as an entry point, travel as the setting, and Bitcoin as the quiet heartbeat that connects these journeys.
Avi was born in India and moved to New York a few months after 9/11. He loved the energy of the city, the culture, and the food. “New York City was the closest I felt to being home,” he recalls. Yet the sense of belonging still felt incomplete. The pandemic arrived and life shifted. His family moved to rural upstate New York. Nature was stunning, the mountains peaceful, the community kind. Still, Avi’s deepest feeling of home came in a different place.

“I feel home at Bitcoin gatherings, at Bitcoin conferences. These are my people. This is my tribe. Bitcoin is a country in some sense.”
The idea for Finding Home took shape in Prague in 2023. Avi wanted to create something that welcomed people in without turning it into a lecture. He kept coming back to Anthony Bourdain, the American chef, writer, and traveler who became a cultural icon by exploring the world through food and honest conversation. “Everyone loves food, everyone loves to travel. No one did it better than Bourdain. I wanted to take a leaf out of that book,” Avi says.

For Avi, Finding Home is a way to show lives full of creativity and purpose. Someone watching might wonder, How are they doing that? The answer slips in quietly, like seasoning in a meal: Bitcoin. “Appealing to people’s emotions scales adoption more than appealing to their intellect,” Avi says. “When they see hope, they start to believe it is possible for them too.”
Avi left his fiat job on July 4th. “Independence Day,” he calls it with a smile as he took a leap of faith. The first two episodes were funded entirely from his own pocket. Now the third episode, set in Paraguay, is coming to life through the support of a growing community on @Angor a peer to peer funding protocol built on Bitcoin and Nostr. Executive producers, associate producers, and friends who want to see the story told are stepping forward to help bring it to the screen.
The way he films reflects the way he travels. Each episode has a different team, a different visual texture, and a different flavor of food. What ties it all together is Avi’s voice, his presence, and his storytelling. He embraces this variety as part of the richness of the project.
In Finding Home, food becomes the key to the soul. “When you are eating something you truly enjoy, you are not in your head anymore. You are in your heart. That is when I slide Bitcoin in, right into the subconscious mind.” Avi added.
Episode 3 is close to being fully funded. The goal is in sight. The table is set. And Avi is ready to serve another story that feeds both the stomach and the spirit.
Now is the moment to join him.
“I believe in building this project directly with the community it represents,” Avi says. “Funding on Angor allows us to keep our vision independent and to create something authentic for the people who believe in this movement the most.”
Supporting Finding Home as an Executive Producer, Associate Producer, or Special Thanks partner means becoming part of Avi’s creative family. Four investors have already stepped forward, showing that this journey matters and that a community is already gathering around it.
In Paraguay, a growing hub for Bitcoin adoption, Avi will share meals with shop owners, café hosts, and innovators, capturing how they are shaping a new future.

If you choose to join his journey, your name will be woven into that story, you will see the episode before anyone else, and you will share in the joy of helping bring a living archive of culture, freedom, and human connection to life.
Avi is currently at 82% of his 0.06 Bitcoin goal. Every satoshi now moves the needle and brings the cameras closer to rolling in Paraguay.

I’m off to see if I can find some chipa and sopa paraguaya or maybe I’ll just end up with Thai green curry and sticky mango rice again. See y’all next week.
Ciao.
