An Instructional Guide to Aquatic Chicken Theory
Anyone within my 52k+ pubkey WoT can publish to wss://aquaticchickentheory.nostr1.com . There is good chance that if you are reading this, you are included. Simply follow the client specific instructions below to achieve your desired result and include any of the following keywords, as a hashtag in a note:
Allowed keywords:
- <aquaticchickentheory, grownostr, artstr, tunestr, foodstr, catstr, poetry, haiku, touchgrass, photography, yarnstr, crochetstr, worcestershirestr, flowerstr, gunstr, knifestr, guitar, bookstr, dogstr, healthstr, travelstr, dreamstr, farmstr, science>
You can check if you are already on the allow list, on the relay’s homepage at https://aquaticchickentheory.nostr1.com . There is a search box located on the right side of the page. If you are not listed, you can sign in and pay a fee for write access.
You can then add wss://aquaticchickentheory.nostr1.com to your relay list, as a write/outbox, if you prefer. It will still reject notes that don’t have one of the supported hashtags. Doing it this way will land your notes in your followers’ home feeds as well as on the Aquatic Chicken Theory all the time, without additional effort. (If you already write to any of the Primal, Damus, Nos .lol, or Primus relays, you don’t need to worry about this. Notes are streamed in to ACT from these larger relays) This method will allow you to publish to ACT from any client. Alternatively…
…for single-relay publishing to ACT, or to send a note there in addition to your usual write/outbox relays:
- Visit the ACT relay feed in Coracle, Nosotros, Jumble (or almost any of the various flavors of Jumble)
- Open the note composer.
- For Coracle and Nosotros , click on settings or relay settings and add the relay URL manually. You can also remove your other relays temporarily, for a single note here. Removing them from the composer does not effect what is in your announced relay list. Doing this in Nosotros, from the relay view, will publish your note as protected, making it more likely to stay exclusive to ACT. Doing this from the Nosotros home feed, or anywhere in Coracle, will create a regular, unprotected note that starts out solely on ACT, but it is still able to move freely around through your network via likes, reposts, republishing, broadcasting, and replies.
- For Jumble(or its deviations), save ACT as a “favorite relay”. In the note composer on any screen, click on “optimal relays”. From here you can choose your publication preferences, by either unchecking your optimal relays and checking ACT or adding ACT in addition to your optimal relays. Publishing exclusively to ACT will create a protected note that is more likely to stay exclusive to that feed. ACT + your optimal relays will publish to that feed and be sent to your followers.
These publishing methods, through these clients, work on almost relay that will accept your notes. Some relays are public, others are by payment, and yet others are by invite. Aquaticchickentheory is a mix of these, as 52k have been authorized through Brainstorm. Anyone outside of it can pay, which would mainly apply to new users. Please check your npub status before paying, but if you want to make a donation towards ACT operating costs anyway, it would be greatly appreciated. All payments are applied to the relay’s hosting fees from directly within the homepage.
