Ingredients
- 4-5 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons rapid rise, instant yeast
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1½ cups warm milk, 110 degrees
- 5 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
- Combine 3 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, warm milk, butter, and egg in the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Attach the dough hook and mix on the lowest speed until flour is incorporated, scraping down the sides as necessary.
- Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup flour and blend until incorporated, then repeat with another 1/2 cup flour, mixing at medium speed for another 2 minutes until a ball of dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Deflate the dough and pinch off pieces to form 24 rolls.
- Transfer the rolls to a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush hot rolls with melted butter and serve immediately.
