I don’t think other coins expect normal users to run a wallet server* to be clear
Reasonable, thank you for the heads up. I still am frustrated a protocol called Nostr Wallet Connect is inherently tied to Lightning the way it is. Reading the NIP it obviously looks extensible, but I don’t think other coins actually expect normal users to run a server. I can’t really see this feature extending well beyond Lightning.
I don’t blame a Bitcoin dev specifically for designing this. It’s more a frustration with the whole direction this ship has gone.
Hmm… I think you should be careful about the NWC dev, as that’s probably the person most likely to add Monero to it, and he’s one of the best backend developers on here.
